David Manzi | Tucson Fine Art Photographer

David Manzi is a Tucson-based fine art photographer whose work moves between Southwestern landscapes, black-and-white photography, macro studies, nature photography, and architectural abstraction. Born in New York’s Catskill region, Manzi relocated to Arizona in 1999, where the light, stark forms, and intricate textures of the Sonoran Desert became a defining influence on his work.

Entirely self-taught, Manzi brings both technical precision and an artist’s eye to his photography. Expansive desert landscapes become studies of atmosphere and light; architectural details become explorations of geometry and shadow; and close observations of the natural world reveal forms easily overlooked. His work has been selected for exhibitions in Tucson and galleries across the United States and internationally.

Manzi’s career as an electrical engineer specializing in advanced RF technologies adds another dimension to his artistic practice. That combination of engineering discipline and visual curiosity can be seen throughout his photography, where structure, balance, pattern, and detail often play central roles.

Although the Sonoran Desert remains an important source of inspiration, travel has expanded Manzi’s photographic vocabulary beyond Arizona. His portfolio encompasses landscapes, architecture, natural forms, and abstraction, connected by a distinctive interest in finding order, atmosphere, and unexpected beauty in the world around him.

David lives in Tucson with his wife, Jen, and their companion animals.
